xAI's frontier LLM line. Grok 4.6 (August 12, 2026) reuses Grok 4.5's mixture-of-experts foundation with improved fine-tuning aimed at long-running agents, coding and knowledge work; Grok 4.1 Fast offers a 2M-token context window for agentic tool use.

Grok 4.6 launched publicly August 12, 2026 via the API, Grok Build and the Cursor code editor, scoring 61 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index - matching OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol and just behind Anthropic's Claude Fable 5. It carries a 500,000-token context window and a February 1, 2026 knowledge cutoff. The 2.1T-parameter Grok 4.7 is expected a few weeks later, and the roughly 6T-parameter Grok 5 remains in training on Colossus 2 with no confirmed release date as of mid-August 2026.
