Two businesses, one parent
Qualcomm Incorporated holds the licensing business, QTL, and the vast majority of the patent portfolio. Subsidiary Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. runs engineering and the QCT semiconductor business. Snapdragon products belong to that subsidiary. Patents are licensed by the parent.
The July 29, 2026 release describes platforms that combine on-device AI, low-power computing, and connectivity. It does not break out a separate data-center revenue line.
Quarter ended June 28, 2026
GAAP revenue was $9,947 million, down 4% from $10,365 million a year earlier. GAAP net income was $2,002 million. GAAP diluted earnings per share were $1.87. The company also reported non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $2.21.
President and CEO Cristiano Amon said non-handset revenue is growing to $40 billion by fiscal 2029, and that non-handset growth, including data center, is expected to accelerate from 24% in fiscal 2026 to more than 60% in fiscal 2027. Those are targets. Fourth-quarter guidance, also not a result, was revenue of $9.7 billion to $10.5 billion.
The release says the acquisition of Modular Inc was completed and does not give a price or a close date. The fiscal fourth quarter ended September 27, 2026. This page uses the July 29 release as the latest earnings document opened for the profile.
Handsets fell, automotive and IoT rose
QCT revenue was $8,504 million, down 5%. Handsets were $5,086 million, down 20% from $6,328 million. Automotive was $1,588 million, up 61% from $984 million. The company called that a 23rd consecutive quarter of double-digit automotive growth. IoT was $1,830 million, up 9%. Automotive and IoT together grew 28%.
QTL revenue was $1,278 million, down 3%, with earnings before tax of $881 million. QCT earnings before tax were $2,192 million.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy
On February 25, 2026 Qualcomm Technologies introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy for the Galaxy S26 Ultra globally and the Galaxy S26+ and S26 in select regions. The release names a 3rd Gen Oryon CPU, an Adreno GPU, and a Hexagon NPU.
Qualcomm called it the most advanced Snapdragon mobile platform to date and the world's fastest mobile system-on-a-chip. This page does not add an independent benchmark.
