The company
The 2025 sustainability report is the fifth issued by vivo Holdings Limited. In that report, vivo Holdings Limited is "vivo", and vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. is the China operating company, also called the China manufacturing facilities. The report covers January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, says the currency is RMB unless otherwise stated, and says the English and Chinese versions were published in July 2026.
The global English culture page says vivo is headquartered in Dongguan, China. The same page's footer is copyright 2026 vivo Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. The holdings company and the China operating company are not the same name in these sources.
Founding, brand, and scale
The report timeline says the company was founded in 1995, entered the mobile phone market in 2004, debuted the vivo brand in 2011, and started the global business in 2014. In 2019 it unveiled the iQOO sub-brand and its first 5G smartphone. In 2020 it launched OriginOS, and in 2021 it released its first in-house chip, the V1.
The report describes vivo as a design-driven company focused on intelligent terminals and services. It says annual production capacity is nearly 200 million units, including brand licensing, and that products and services reach more than 500 million users in more than 60 countries and regions. Shen Wei signs the report as founder and CEO.
Q2 2026 shipments
IDC's final historical Q2 2026 table, on a page updated September 17, 2026, lists vivo fifth. The vivo row is 21.2 million shipments, 7.7 percent share, against 26.3 million and 8.8 percent a year earlier, a 19.6 percent decline. The page says the rankings for Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo were unchanged from the previous quarter.
IDC says company shipments are branded shipments and that the company is the parent of brands owned and operated as subsidiaries. The table does not say whether iQOO units sit inside the vivo row. The same page's Others row is 76.6 million units.
Service network
As of the end of 2025, the sustainability report says vivo had over 1,000 service centers in China, including the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and over 1,400 service centers overseas, covering over 60 countries and regions.
What is not in the report
The pages used here do not print a revenue total or a workforce census. They also do not name an exchange listing, so the profile status is Private on that absence rather than on a sentence that says private.
