Vertex pays AbCellera $28M upfront for autoimmune T-cell engagers
AbCellera announced July 29 a collaboration with Vertex Pharmaceuticals to discover multispecific T-cell engagers for autoimmune diseases and other conditions. AbCellera will lead early discovery on its proprietary TCE platform while Vertex funds all research and development and holds rights to develop and commercialize resulting antibodies, paying AbCellera $28 million upfront plus preclinical, development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments and tiered sales royalties.
