Cleveland Clinic launches prescription drone delivery with Zipline
Cleveland Clinic began delivering prescription medications by Zipline drone to patients within a five-mile radius of its Beachwood, Ohio campus starting the week of July 27, in what it calls the first long-term prescription drone delivery program run by a major U.S. health system. Eligible patients already enrolled in the clinic's pharmacy home-delivery program can opt into drone delivery at no extra cost, with plans to expand to more locations and add lab samples, meals and supplies.
