OpenAI moves to dismiss Apple's trade secrets lawsuit
OpenAI filed a motion on August 5-6 asking a federal court to dismiss Apple's trade-secret lawsuit, calling the claims baseless and arguing Apple never identified a protectable secret while its own lax security practices, including former employees keeping personal iCloud access, undermine its case. The filing comes a day after Apple sought a preliminary injunction and expedited discovery in the same dispute; Apple must respond by August 19 ahead of an October 1 hearing in San Jose.
