Anthropic forms Theseus data center venture with Macquarie, GIC
Anthropic, Macquarie Asset Management and GIC announced a strategic partnership on August 10 to launch Theseus Infrastructure, a platform that will develop, own and operate data centers leased to Anthropic under long-term agreements, with an initial focus on new US sites. Funds managed by Macquarie, together with GIC, will own the platform and fund the majority of each project's equity, with Anthropic serving as anchor tenant and agreeing to cover electricity-cost increases the buildout could otherwise pass on to local ratepayers.
