Grok 4.6 rolls out inside GitHub Copilot

Two days after its August 12 launch, xAI's Grok 4.6 became available inside GitHub Copilot on August 14, rolling out for agentic coding tasks in VS Code and the Copilot CLI across the Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise tiers. Business and Enterprise admins must enable it through a Copilot policy setting, and it is priced at $2 and $6 per million input and output tokens, undercutting comparable rival coding-model pricing.
