Uber and Zipline partner to bring drone delivery to Uber Eats
Uber and Zipline announced a partnership on August 17 to bring autonomous drone delivery to Uber Eats customers across the United States, with Uber making a strategic investment in Zipline as part of the deal. First deployments begin in Dallas and Houston by year end within Zipline's existing US markets before expanding to dozens more cities, with the companies targeting 1 million drone deliveries a day by the end of 2029 and delivery times as fast as 5 to 10 minutes.
