Anthropic preps super-voting shares, credit facility past $10B
Anthropic is preparing to grant CEO Dario Amodei and other co-founders a class of stock carrying extra voting power ahead of its planned IPO, Bloomberg reported August 18 citing The Information, aiming to preserve founder control given Amodei's roughly 2% ownership stake; the company also plans to keep a special class of stock letting its non-shareholder trustees elect a majority of the board. Separately, Bloomberg reported the same day that Anthropic's pre-IPO revolving credit facility is set to grow past its roughly $10 billion target as banks compete for roles in the offering.
