Zipline drone lands on Houston Highway 6
A Zipline food-delivery drone came down Friday morning, September 4, 2026, in the southbound lanes of Highway 6 near Timber Creek Place Lane in northwest Harris County. Zipline said no one was hurt and no property was damaged; local law enforcement told KPRC 2 they received no calls about the aircraft. A photo shared with the station showed the electric drone in the roadway with its parachute deployed after what the company called a midflight issue on the way to pick up an order.
