xAI ships Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 speech-to-text

SpaceXAI released Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0, saying internal evaluations show it is twice as accurate as version 1.0 at the same price and that it ranks first for accuracy among 32 streaming models on the public Artificial Analysis leaderboard. Pricing stays at $0.10 per hour of audio for batch transcription and $0.20 per hour for streaming, with speaker diarization, word-level timestamps, and key-term biasing included; Atlassian said the model now transcribes Loom videos after outperforming its prior system. Version 2.0 will soon become the Speech-to-Text API default, with 1.0 deprecated in the coming weeks unless developers pin grok-voice-transcribe-1.0.
