xAI ships Grok 4.7 for coding and knowledge work

SpaceXAI said Grok 4.7 is now available in Cursor, Grok Build, and the Grok API at the same $2 and $6 per million input and output tokens as Grok 4.6, with a faster variant at twice the output speed and twice the price. The company said the model uses a larger base than Grok 4.6, ran longer reinforcement learning on multi-hour tasks, and ships a new safeguard stack that scored 62.4% on LatchBio's biosafety benchmark and let 3.3% of risky HackerBench prompts through. The release lands after Grok 4.7 slipped past its mid-September target.
