BETA starts North Carolina eIPP medical logistics flights

BETA Technologies said on 23 September 2026 that it has begun eIPP flight operations in North Carolina's eLIFT program, using the all-electric ALIA CTOL with Metro Aviation and healthcare partners including ECU Health and WakeMed. Operations since 17 September included a flyover of the Wright Brothers National Memorial and simulated healthcare-cargo deliveries, covering more than 1,300 nautical miles on routes linking the Research Triangle, Pitt-Greenville Airport and Dare County. The campaign uses BETA's Charge Cube at Raleigh Executive Jetport, with more than 15 additional charging sites in development; Governor Josh Stein's office separately described the state's first electric air taxi flights under the FAA eIPP.
