Musk maps Colossus to 1.44 million GPUs by year-end

Elon Musk said on X on September 25 that Colossus 1 now holds 150,000 Nvidia H100, 50,000 H200 and 30,000 GB200 chips, while Colossus 2 holds 110,000 GB200 and 440,000 GB300 chips. He said another 220,000 GB300 chips will be fully operational next week, 220,000 in November, and a third 220,000 by late December if the company gets lucky, which would take the combined fleet to about 1.44 million GPUs. Bloomberg called the post the most detailed timetable yet for the Memphis-area cluster; the December wave is conditional and the counts are Musk's, not an independent inventory.
