AST and TELUS complete first smartphone-network test
TELUS and AST SpaceMobile said on Oct. 5, 2026 they completed their first integration test between TELUS's wireless network and AST's space-based network, covering voice, text and broadband data to smartphones. TELUS said the service is expected to be available to its customers within the next year on eligible phones, with no special equipment. AST's investor press-release page did not list a matching post when checked, so the joint TELUS release is the company-confirmed source.
