Anthropic expands Cyber Verification into three access tiers
On Oct. 6, 2026 Anthropic said it merged Project Glasswing and its original Cyber Verification Program into a three-tier CVP that gives vetted defenders reduced cyber blocks on Claude Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5, Mythos 5.1 and later models. Defense Access covers incident response and malware analysis; Red Team Access adds authorized penetration testing for organizations; Specialized Access, reviewed with the US government, is for testing safety-critical systems such as power grids and flight software. Anthropic said Glasswing partners found at least 129,000 verified vulnerabilities from April to July 2026, plus 5,500 from Anthropic open-source scans, with more than 33,000 rated critical or high.
