Anthropic launches Cyber Mission and OSS Scanner
On Oct. 8 Anthropic launched the Cyber Mission, pairing a Critical Infrastructure Defense Program with a free OSS Scanner for eligible open-source projects. CIDP supplies frontier Claude models, on-site engineers, and threat research to 11 founding operational-technology partners including Accenture, CrowdStrike, Dragos, and Rockwell Automation. OSS Scanner sends model-generated reports without human review; Anthropic said testers cleared 85 of 97 early high or critical findings for disclosure.
