OpenAI Foundation opens a $50 million city grant call
The OpenAI Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation on Oct. 14 opened Cities Deliver, a $50 million call for organizations working with city governments on public health, economic mobility, environmental resilience and civic engagement. Grants run from $500,000 to $2 million over 24 months, applications close on Nov. 29, 2026, and the stated aim is to reach up to 100 million residents. The foundation's release says it is a separate nonprofit from OpenAI PBC, applicants need not use OpenAI models, and the split of the $50 million is not stated. RF Catalytic Capital will manage the call.
