Google shows magic-state cultivation on Willow
Google Quantum AI said on Oct. 15 that its Willow processor ran magic-state cultivation, cutting errors about 40-fold versus uncultivated states. A Science paper the same day reports T-state fidelity of at least 99.99 percent while retaining 8 percent of attempts, including a switch into a surface code. Google said the method still has to be shown at a larger scale before it is practical.
