Google opens Universal Cart in U.S. Search and Gemini

Google said on Oct. 15, 2026 that Universal Cart is rolling out in the United States across Search and the Gemini app. The cart, previewed at Google I/O in May, saves items from multiple retailers, tracks price and stock changes, and checks out with Google Pay or transfers the items to a merchant cart. Named partners include Nike, Sephora, Target, Ulta Beauty, Walmart, Wayfair and many Shopify merchants, and Google said the merchant remains the seller of record.
