NiSource agrees to power Microsoft's Indiana campus for 20 years
NiSource said on October 16 that Microsoft signed a 20-year agreement to take electric service in 2028 for its northwest Indiana data-center campus. GenCo would add about 1,100 MW, Microsoft would fund the generation and transmission built for its load, and GenCo contracted 600 MW of battery storage from an AGP Group affiliate. NiSource said regulatory approvals are still required and raised expected NIPSCO electric-customer savings to about $1.75 billion, from $1.4 billion.
