Overview

Unveiled at SNEC 2026, PowerMatrix is a new product category that merges the PV inverter, energy storage converter, energy routing and grid control into one 'core energy node' for combined PV-storage plants rather than pairing separate inverter and PCS units. It carries a high-density MPPT architecture (up to 28 MPPTs per MW) for finer string-level optimization, cell-to-plant state-of-charge balancing that lifts usable lifetime storage output by about 8%, and is pitched at cutting balance-of-system costs by over 10% on gigawatt-scale plants (Sungrow cites a reference 1 GW PV plant paired with 8 GWh of storage).

Launched June 3, 2026 at the SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai; also presented at Intersolar Europe 2026
