Why it matters
AutoFlight is flying an uncrewed cargo eVTOL while its passenger aircraft is still short of a type certificate. On the English news index read on 27 Oct 2026, the newest item is a 15 Oct memorandum with JC Aviation, not a Prosperity grant. That index records a 23 July 2025 delivery of an eVTOL over one ton with complete airworthiness certification, a 24 Dec 2024 production license, and an 11 June 2026 overseas type-certificate validation for the V2000CG in Indonesia.
C114 reported on 23 July 2026 that senior vice president Xie Jia said the passenger V2000EM had finished its G1 and G2 stages, was in compliance testing, and was expected to receive a certificate next year. From the date of that interview, next year means 2027.
What the cargo aircraft has demonstrated
The English index also lists an August 2025 offshore oil-platform flight, a February 2023 flight of 250.3 km, and an April 2026 tea delivery. C114 described the V2000CG as a ton-class aircraft holding China's three airworthiness certificates and the June 2026 Indonesian validation, already used to move supplies and support emergency response. The superlatives in those lines are the company's, as repeated by C114.
Xie said the company would keep to cargo before passengers, remote areas before cities, and segregated flights before mixed airspace. He said several regular cargo routes were planned from the second half of 2026 into the following year. That is a plan, not a published route network.
Prosperity and the 5-ton Matrix
Xie named island links, intercity trips and low-altitude tourism as the passenger uses. The Chinese news index lists a 17 Aug 2026 item saying the V2000EM 350 Wh/kg prismatic aviation battery passed an adjacent-cell thermal-runaway test. That headline is absent from the English index. The newest item on each index is still not a type certificate.
Matrix appears on the English index as a 5-ton-class aircraft unveiled on 5 Feb 2026, and on 22 May 2026 as having completed a mixed-fleet formation flight with airworthiness certification launched. The Chinese index carries the same two Matrix milestones. Neither index opens with a Matrix certificate.
Agreements, and the part that is not yet a fleet
On 15 Oct 2026 AutoFlight and JC Aviation signed a memorandum. JC Aviation intends to procure a mix of CarryAll cargo, CarryAll firefighting and Prosperity aircraft between 2026 and 2031, 260 aircraft in the plan, plus 10 SUNSHIP water platforms between 2026 and 2029. The initial confirmed commitment is two V2000CG CarryAll aircraft and one SUNSHIP. The release says the wider buy will be finalized in later purchase agreements. India and Brazil are the first markets named. The 12 Aug 2026 Whitesky line on the English index is also a memorandum, covering 60 passenger aircraft. The two CarryAll aircraft and one SUNSHIP are the confirmed slice. The 260-aircraft plan, the full set of 10 platforms, and the Whitesky figure stay intentions until later agreements or deliveries.
A Chinese release says that on 10 Sept 2026 Zero Realm Aviation agreed to buy 30 V2000CG aircraft, with Wanjiang Financial Leasing providing a finance lease. Five are due this year, including two in September. The release gives no price. The companies say they will work toward an operating certificate and commercial operations, which is a goal in that text, not a later approval. The English index does not list the agreement. Read on 27 Oct 2026, the Chinese index still starts with the 12 Sept write-up, so it has no newer headline that the September aircraft were handed over. A 6 May 2026 Chinese index line says the first emergency firefighting aircraft was delivered in Jining. Hong Kong is a 22 June 2026 selection line. Newer headlines on both indexes are not a Hong Kong flight.
Capital and constraints
The English index records a November 2021 Team Global investment as a triple-digit million euro sum, and a 3 Aug 2024 CATL agreement worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Its newest item is the JC memorandum, not a later equity round. The 22 July 2026 SF Group partnership is on the same index. C114 said that partnership starts with offshore wind, and it reported a company forecast of more than 100 water vertiports and more than 300 eVTOL aircraft for marine energy. That forecast is not an order. Passenger service still depends on the certificate Xie placed in 2027.
What to watch
The delivery check is whether Zero Realm received the two September aircraft and any of the five due in 2026. The passenger check is whether CAAC issues a Prosperity certificate on the 2027 timing Xie gave, after the 17 Aug battery listing, while neither news index opens with a grant. The commercial check is whether the JC commitment of two CarryAll aircraft and one SUNSHIP is delivered apart from the 260-aircraft intention, and whether the June 2026 Hong Kong sandbox selection produces a flight. Matrix certification was opened in the 22 May 2026 index item and is not the newest item on either index.
