The CAAC accepted the Prosperity's type-certificate application in April 2024. AutoFlight said on July 22, 2026 the program is in the final phase of airworthiness certification, and the CAAC named it in a proposed first batch of passenger-eVTOL airworthiness-compliant manufacturers (alongside Aridge, EHang, and Volant). That list is a fast-track designation, not a type certificate. Official news through August 23, 2026 never announces a grant, and as of September 14 the English newsroom still has no later item. Certification would be AutoFlight's gateway from cargo into passenger flight.

CATL said its aviation battery system built on 350 Wh/kg prismatic cells passed a thermal-runaway propagation test in which two adjacent cells were triggered simultaneously at both the center and corners of the pack, with no propagation to other cells in any test, a result reported around August 9-10. China's CAAC was involved in manufacturing, inspection and testing of the cells, and CATL said the system is ready for mass production, with passenger eVTOL maker Autoflight, in which CATL is a strategic investor, first in line to use it.
China's aviation regulator CAAC published its first airworthiness compliance roster for passenger eVTOL makers, naming four companies including XPeng affiliate Aridge, AutoFlight, and EHang's Guangzhou equipment unit. Companies on the list get streamlined certification processing, priority handling of application materials, and cross-batch recognition of phased test results, shortening the path to commercial eVTOL operations in China.

As of 16 Oct 2026 the English newsroom tops at the 15 Oct JC Aviation MoU, not the 23 Aug CAAT visit. That MoU is not a Hong Kong Sandbox X flight and not a Prosperity type certificate. The Prosperity catalog still lists 1+5 seats, 2,400 kg MTOW, and a 200 km range, with no certificate claim. No first AutoFlight Sandbox X cargo flight appears in the English newsroom.
Cargo eVTOL Sales & Logistics Missions

JC Aviation MoU covers 260 eVTOLs and 10 SUNSHIP platforms
On 15 Oct 2026 AutoFlight said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore-based JC Aviation. JC Aviation intends to procure a mix of CarryAll cargo, CarryAll firefighting, and Prosperity passenger aircraft between 2026 and 2031, plus 10 SUNSHIP platforms between 2026 and 2029. The initial confirmed commitment is two V2000CG CarryAll aircraft and one SUNSHIP. The broader 260-aircraft plan still needs later purchase agreements. The first markets named are India and Brazil. The release does not announce a Prosperity type certificate or a Hong Kong flight.
CAAT Thailand delegation visits Kunshan for sandbox talks
On August 23, 2026 AutoFlight hosts a Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand delegation led by Director General Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, the second CAAT visit since December 2025. Talks cover airworthiness, operations, maintenance, training, and Thailand's sandbox program. No aircraft order was announced.
SF Group partnership for offshore-energy low-altitude logistics
On July 22, 2026 at the International Advanced Air Mobility Expo, AutoFlight and SF Group sign a partnership to develop air-sea mobility for offshore energy, initially offshore wind, pairing CarryAll cargo flights with AutoFlight's SUNSHIP water-based vertiport. The same release says the passenger Prosperity is in the final phase of airworthiness certification.

In mid-July 2026 AutoFlight signs a strategic cooperation agreement with Satar Aviasi Indonesia and Hong Kong-based Inno One Group covering an intended purchase of 150 unmanned cargo eVTOLs (V2000CG CarryAll and V5000CGH) plus a planned Indonesian operating demonstration system. AutoFlight is chosen for the inaugural round of Hong Kong's 'Regulatory Sandbox X' low-altitude economy program (reported mid-May 2026), with its 2-tonne-class heavy-lift eVTOL used in two of the four approved projects - one led by AECOM Asia with Chun Wo Construction and Engineering, the other led by China Travel Service (Hong Kong) with China Mobile Hong Kong and Esri China (Hong Kong) - to trial cargo routes across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, starting with construction-material deliveries to remote New Territories sites. On May 19, 2026, AutoFlight flies a 2-ton-class eVTOL in Almaty, Kazakhstan - the first advanced air mobility flight of a large eVTOL in Central Asia - in partnership with Alatau Advance Air Group (AAAG), which had already purchased and paid for aircraft. At the event AAAG signs a framework MOU to buy 50 additional V2000/V5000-series aircraft to build out low-altitude transport networks in the region; AutoFlight follows up with a Prosperity air-taxi demonstration flight at the Games of the Future in Astana on July 24.

On June 3, 2026, Indonesia's DGCA validates the CarryAll's CAAC type certificate - the first time any eVTOL type certificate has been validated by an overseas regulator - clearing the path for commercial inter-island cargo operations in Indonesia.
V5000 'Matrix' transitions; commercial cargo operations scale

On November 22, 2025, AutoFlight publicly demonstrates a mobile, zero-carbon water-based vertiport at Dianshan Lake in Kunshan, developed with strategic partner CATL - a floating platform combining eVTOL landing pads, solar charging/storage, and intelligent dispatch that lets eVTOLs operate from rivers, lakes and coastal zones without land-based construction, targeting use cases like offshore energy-platform maintenance, emergency rescue and marine-aerial tourism.
Falcon Aviation Services orders 50 aircraft for ADNOC offshore operations
On October 27, 2025 in Shanghai, Emirati operator Falcon Aviation Services signs an order for 50 AutoFlight aircraft - 15 V2000CG CarryAll cargo and 35 V2000EM Prosperity passenger units - to support Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) operations, with representatives of ADNOC attending the signing. It is AutoFlight's largest single customer commitment to date and its first major Middle East deal, with first deliveries targeted by the end of 2025.
Full certificate set complete; first delivery and offshore missions
On July 21, 2025 the CarryAll receives its airworthiness certificate and the first unit is delivered to Heli Chuangxing Intelligent - making it the only ton-class eVTOL holding the full TC+PC+AC set. On August 3 it flies the world's first 2-ton eVTOL offshore oil-platform mission: 150 km from Shenzhen to CNOOC's Huizhou 19-3 platform in 58 minutes with 400 kg of supplies.
Breaks ground on Wuhan Hanyang assembly and exhibition facility
On April 10, 2025, AutoFlight breaks ground on a new assembly and exhibition facility in Wuhan's Hanyang District - its first manufacturing presence in Central China - handling final assembly, ground and flight testing, sales, delivery and public display. At the ceremony, the China United Nations Procurement Promotion Association names Hanyang Investment Development Group (AutoFlight's local partner and a customer under a 157M yuan, 12-aircraft order signed in February 2025) the first registered eVTOL supplier for UN procurement.

CATL invests 'hundreds of millions of dollars'; world-first production certificate
In August 2024 battery giant CATL makes an exclusive strategic investment of 'hundreds of millions of dollars' with joint aviation-battery R&D. On December 24, the CAAC grants the world's first production certificate for a 2-ton-class eVTOL, authorizing CarryAll series production.
First inter-city cross-sea eVTOL demo; CarryAll wins world-first type certificate
In February 2024 Prosperity flies the ~50 km Shenzhen–Zhuhai route across the Pearl River Delta autonomously in about 20 minutes - the world's first inter-city, cross-sea eVTOL demonstration. Weeks later the CAAC grants the CarryAll (V2000CG) the world's first type certificate for a ton-class cargo eVTOL, and in April AutoFlight delivers its first Prosperity to a Japanese customer and files the Prosperity's own TC application.
