Boeing CEO joins White House push to ramp up weapons output

The chief executives of Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Honeywell met President Trump at the White House on June 24 as the administration presses major defense contractors to accelerate weapons and munitions production amid concerns about depleted U.S. stockpiles following military operations in Iran. It was the second such White House gathering with defense-industry leaders; recent related agreements include a Lockheed deal to triple Patriot interceptor output and quadruple THAAD production, plus RTX multiyear deals on Tomahawk and AMRAAM missiles. The White House separately asked Congress for $87.6 billion in supplemental spending.
