Musk targets first Starship ship catch on next flight

SpaceX plans to attempt the first-ever launch-tower catch of Starship's upper stage on Flight 14, CEO Elon Musk said following the July 24 success of Flight 13, pending review of that flight's data for any anomalies. Catching the ship with the pad's mechanical arms, as SpaceX already does with the Super Heavy booster, is a major step toward the rapid full reusability the program is built around, and would make Flight 14 Starship's first orbital launch. SpaceX has not yet set a date for the flight.
