Rocket Lab wins record $266M Space Force missile-defense contract

Rocket Lab was awarded a $266 million contract by the U.S. Space Force on July 27 for suborbital launches supporting missile-defense target testing, its largest launch contract to date. The deal covers 12 suborbital launches with options for up to six more, flying primarily from a new Rocket Lab site at Pacific Spaceport Complex-Alaska in Kodiak, Alaska.
