AST SpaceMobile sets August 5 launch for three more BlueBirds
AST SpaceMobile announced on July 28, 2026 that BlueBirds 11, 12, and 13 are targeted to launch August 5 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral, carrying an upgraded roughly 2,400-square-foot phased array that nearly doubles peak download speeds over the first-generation satellites. BlueBirds 14-16 are already in production, with manufacturing progressing through unit 42, as AST works toward roughly 45 satellites in orbit by the end of 2026.
