WeRide enters Denmark, its first Nordic robotaxi market
WeRide announced a partnership with Danish electric car-sharing operator GreenMobility on August 3 to launch Denmark's first commercial autonomous ride-hailing service, becoming the first Chinese robotaxi company to enter the Nordic region. The companies plan to begin public operations in the first half of 2027 using WeRide's Level 4 GXR vehicle, pending approvals from the Danish Road Directorate and Danish Road Traffic Authority, making Denmark WeRide's sixth European market after Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia and others.
