Anthropic signs $10B compute deal with startup Volta
Anthropic agreed to a six-year, $10 billion deal for computing capacity with Volta Infra Holdings, an Nvidia-backed cloud infrastructure startup founded in January by former Brookfield Asset Management executives. The capacity will be delivered in partnership with bitcoin miner Bitdeer Technologies at a Norway site expected to run on Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin chips and provide 133 megawatts of AI computing capacity, extending a run of compute deals that already includes SpaceX, AMD and Akamai.
