Boeing engineers reject deal recommendation, add strike vote
Boeing's SPEEA-represented engineers dealt a setback to the tentative four-year contract reached July 30: the professional unit's council fell short of the 60% threshold needed to endorse it, and the technical unit voted to recommend rejection outright. Both councils added a strike-authorization question to the same ballot, due before August 21, when some sign-on incentives in the roughly 29% pay-raise offer expire.
