Boeing wins $75M Air Force contract for JDAM-LR munition
The U.S. Air Force awarded Boeing a $75 million contract on August 5, 2026 to begin initial production of the BSU-111/B Payload Delivery Unit, clearing the jet-powered GBU-75 JDAM Long Range munition for production. Built on the standard JDAM guidance kit plus a wing kit and turbojet engine, the weapon can strike targets more than 300 nautical miles away with a 500-pound-class payload.
