Waymo robotaxis snarl traffic in new Miami-area incidents
Video circulating since August 8 shows two Waymo vehicles blocking each other while attempting to turn at a Miami Beach intersection, unable to proceed and stopping cross traffic, with separate footage showing Waymo vehicles snarling traffic on a Miami bridge around the same period. The incidents add to a string of operational and safety scrutiny Waymo has faced through 2026, including federal probes into first-responder interference and a July 4 gridlock incident in San Francisco.
