Nvidia, Wall Street firms unveil $500B AI compute financing plan
Nvidia announced a partnership on August 10-11 with Apollo Global Management, Blackstone, BlackRock, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to establish AI compute infrastructure financing platforms aiming to mobilize more than $500 billion of third-party capital, using compute power itself as collateral through special-purpose entities. CEO Jensen Huang described AI compute as becoming an investable asset class, and the platforms add a new financing channel alongside Nvidia's existing equity commitments to OpenAI, Anthropic and the Stargate project.
