Sungrow to supply 606 MWh of battery storage for Chile project
Verano Energy awarded Sungrow the battery energy storage contract for its 152 MW/606 MWh Observatorio hybrid project in Chile's O'Higgins region, reported August 12. Sungrow will supply PowerTitan 2 storage units and SG350HX-20 inverters for the plant, which pairs the storage system with a 135 MW solar array, plus a 25-year long-term service agreement; commercial operation is targeted for the first half of 2028 with Chilean utility Copec EMOAC as offtaker.
