Zhipu AI ships GLM-5.3, touts top coding benchmarks

Zhipu AI (Z.ai) released GLM-5.3 on August 14 through its GLM Coding Plan, built on the same roughly 743-billion-parameter base as GLM-5.2 via extended post-training, claiming a 50% jump in coding capability and the top spot among open-weight models on benchmarks including Terminal-Bench 3.0. The company said the model also helped identify 2,436 vulnerabilities across 269 open-source projects during security testing, with open model weights due about two weeks after release.
