Airbus finds rare triple hydraulic failure on Air India A320
Airbus's preliminary analysis of an August 4 incident on Air India flight AI2379, an A320neo flying Phuket to Delhi, found the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems all registered a pressure drop within about one second of each other, costing the crew flight control of the ailerons and elevators for roughly 4 seconds as the jet dropped about 300 feet. Twenty passengers and four cabin crew were seriously injured; Airbus has not yet determined whether the systems truly failed simultaneously or whether an erroneous signal triggered the readings, and has asked Air India to inspect the aircraft further.
