CATL sets 2035 target for full battery value-chain neutrality
CATL said on August 17 it met its 2025 target of carbon neutrality across core operations, with all 20 of its battery plants certified carbon neutral and 100% zero-carbon electricity in core operations, and laid out a roadmap to extend that to its full value chain by 2035. The plan shifts focus to the larger footprint from raw materials, component production, transportation and recycling, and will require suppliers to report carbon footprint data starting in 2027.
