SpaceX closes $60 billion acquisition of Cursor maker
SpaceX officially closed its all-stock acquisition of Anysphere, the AI coding startup behind Cursor, on August 15, 2026, ahead of the late-August target set when the deal was agreed in June. Cursor gains access to SpaceX's GPU fleet, including the Colossus supercomputer, and the companies say they have already jointly trained Grok models using trillions of tokens of Cursor's coding data, extending SpaceX's push into AI compute.
