SpaceX, AST SpaceMobile eye $6B in 800 MHz spectrum

SpaceX and AST SpaceMobile are among the bidders for about $6 billion of 800 MHz spectrum licenses that Grain Management acquired from T-Mobile in a swap earlier this month, Bloomberg reported August 20. The licenses cover 817-824 MHz uplink and 862-869 MHz downlink frequencies across 3,224 US counties; preliminary offers are due in early September, with the FCC targeting a completed bidding process by November 5.
