CATL and Dongfeng Liuzhou sign five-year battery pact

CATL and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor signed a five-year strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde on August 18, shifting their relationship from straight battery supply to joint development across tractors, dump trucks, cargo trucks and hydrogen fuel-cell commercial vehicles. The deal also commits both companies to build out battery-bank and vehicle-battery-separation business models meant to lower upfront purchase costs and lifecycle risk for commercial-vehicle buyers.
