Tesla sets September 3 date for Cybercab launch event

Tesla confirmed it will hold an invite-only, livestreamed event on September 3 in Austin to unveil the production version of its Cybercab, the steering-wheel-free, pedal-free two-seat robotaxi built to run on Full Self-Driving software. The confirmed date replaces Tesla's earlier internal target of an Austin public rollout sometime in August, which had not been officially confirmed.
