Slovenia clears Tesla FSD ahead of EU vote

Slovenia approved Tesla's FSD Supervised driver-assistance system for public roads, becoming the sixth European country to do so ahead of a potential EU-wide vote Tesla has said could come as soon as October 6, 2026. Tesla Europe wrote on X that rollout will begin soon, and the Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency confirmed the temporary type approval to Reuters. The Netherlands granted the first EU clearance in April; Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark and Belgium followed, while France has begun testing two FSD-equipped cars after earlier safety concerns.
