Eutelsat to extend OneWeb LEO across Greenland

Eutelsat said on September 7 it will provide OneWeb low-Earth-orbit connectivity under the Enhanced Satellite Connectivity Project for Greenland, launched at Eutelsat's Greenland ground station with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen, and Denmark Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The project is backed by the EU, Greenland, and Denmark, with Tusass as lead partner, and aims to reach remote settlements and critical infrastructure where terrestrial networks are hard to deploy. Eutelsat did not disclose a contract value.
