xAI's official developer pricing page now warns that from September 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM PT, X Search will be billed at $5 per 1,000 posts fetched and $10 per 1,000 user profiles fetched, replacing the current $5 per 1,000 calls. Every post returned by a search or thread fetch, including parent and quoted posts, counts toward the post total. Web Search and other server-side tools stay on the existing per-call rates.
