Waymo opens Las Vegas robotaxi to public riders

Waymo began inviting public riders in Las Vegas on September 14, its 15th U.S. metro, starting with dozens of Ojai minivans on a rolling invite from more than 100,000 interest-list signups. Service covers the Strip south of Highway 589 into Boulder Junction plus Allegiant Stadium, Chinatown, UNLV and Spring Valley, a nearly 24-mile area. Full unrestricted access is still ahead; the Nevada Transportation Authority has authorized Waymo to operate up to 1,000 AVs in Clark County.
