Anduril says Fury production waits on FY27 budget

Anduril told reporters at the Air, Space and Cyber conference that it cannot start work on its FQ-44 Fury production contract until Congress passes fiscal 2027 appropriations, which are not expected before December. Vice president for strategy execution Erin Simpson said the company has invested its own money in a new production facility and bought long-lead items but can only go so far without procurement dollars, and floated a funding anomaly in any future stopgap as a way to begin early. Engineering senior vice president Jason Levin said Arsenal-1 outside Columbus, Ohio can build up to 150 Fury aircraft a year, more than current Air Force orders, and that YFQ-44 prototypes are being assembled there now.
