Mozilla puts Mistral Small 4 inside Firefox Smart Window

Mozilla and Mistral announced on September 16 that Mistral Small 4 is joining the beta of Firefox Smart Window, Mozilla's AI browsing assistant, as a selectable model for users in the United States and Canada, while France gets wider beta access and official French-language support. The United Kingdom and Germany are expected later this year, and Mozilla stressed that Firefox users can still choose among other models rather than being handed a default. Mozilla said it picked the model partly on multilingual performance, and Mistral agreed to zero data retention on the prompts and browsing context Firefox forwards to it.
