Huang says Nvidia will sell twice as many chips next year

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told reporters on September 17, before an AI summit convened by King Charles III in Scotland, that he expects Nvidia to sell twice as many chips next year as it does this year, attributing the jump to countries wanting to invest in domestic AI infrastructure and cloud capacity. The remark extends a run of unusually explicit growth signalling: Nvidia has already guided to roughly 70% revenue growth in the fiscal year ending January 2028, or about $673 billion. Nvidia does not disclose total unit volumes, and the comment spans its full silicon range rather than data-center GPUs alone, covering CPUs, switch and optical networking chips, and Jetson parts for robots and cars.
